The Parish Finance Council is a consultative and advisory body that serves the Pastor in all financial matters, and serves the Parish as good stewards of its God given treasure. The Finance Council advises the Pastor on matters involving accounting, administration, law, information technology, major expenditures, borrowings, facilities and maintenance. As stewards of parish treasure, it reviews monthly financial statements, makes recommendations to the Pastor on all purchases of $10,000 or more, and oversees internal controls including those concerning handling of the offertory collection. It strives to ensure that parish facilities are properly maintained and to provide an appropriate environment for worship and social activities of a diverse parish. It is represented on the Parish Pastoral Council as one of the seven commissions of the parish, and keeps them informed of all significant financial matters. The Finance Council consists of the Pastor, the Parochial Vicar, the Parish Coordinator of Support Services, the Parish Bookkeeper and three to six parishioners appointed by the Pastor. Members of the Finance Council must be active and participating parishioners that have expertise in the areas of accounting, finance, law, facility maintenance, or general business experience. The Chairperson is Phil Signore and the Vice-chair is Joe LoCicero.
