    Reconciliation
"So whoever is in Christ is a new creation: the old things have passed away; behold, new things have come. And all this is from God, who has reconciled us to himself through Christ and given us the ministry of reconciliation," - 2 Corinthians 5:17-18 (NABRE)
    • WHAT is Reconciliation?

In the Sacrament of Reconciliation (or Confession... or Penance), we reflect on our lives, ask for advice and forgiveness, and make a commitment to change. Jesus sent his apostles, St. Peter (our first Pope) and the others who we'd come to acknowledge as the first bishops, out into the world to spread the gospel. Part of this mission included the forgiving of sins, and has evolved into the tradition we practice today in Confession where – through the Priest – Jesus meets us in our brokenness to heal us.
