ALL SAINTS – Saturday, November 1, 2014
This year, the solemnity of All Saints falls on a Saturday and according to the guidelines for the Catholic church provided by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, when this day falls on a Saturday (or a Monday) the obligation to attend Mass is lifted, however, we will still celebrate this feast on Saturday morning at 8:30am..
ALL SOULS – Sunday, November 2, 2014
This year, the commemoration of All Souls is celebrated on the Sunday, meaning from the Saturday vigil of anticipation through Evening Prayer on Sunday. Neither a solemnity nor a feast, as a commemoration All Souls outranks other feasts and it takes the place of a Sunday in Ordinary Time
National Vocation Awareness Week - November 2-9, 2014.
Resources (in English and Spanish) are available on the Vocations website, www.spvocation.org under the Support Tab. Since November 2 is All Soul's Day, we are encouraging all parishioners to recognize Vocation Awareness week throughout the week of November 3, concluding on Sunday, November 9. If you have any questions, you may call the Office of Vocations at 727-345-3452 or email, Heidi Varley at hlv@dosp.org.
