Lighthouse Catholic Media

We are proud to present a new educational and evangelization opportunity: Lighthouse Catholic Media. A practical and effective program to help Catholics know their faith . . . to keep their faith! Next week, in the MAH hall (parish hall) outside the Resource Center, you will see a kiosk stand offering nine different CDs and three different brochures. These feature interesting topics by some of today’s most inspiring Catholic speakers.

Here are some of the titles available:

Finding the Fullness of Faith-The Conversion story of Steve Ray

Anger and Forgiveness- Deacon Dr. Bob MacDonald

15 Things to do in the Midst of Suffering- Jeff Cavins

The Healing Power of Confession-Dr. Scott Hahn

The Passion of Christ Applied to your Life- Fr. Corapi

Seven Pillars of Catholic Spirituality- Matthew Kelly and many more!

The CDs and brochure will be available after Mass beginning June 20th for just $3 a CD and $.50 a brochure. We encourage you to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to learn your faith better and share your faith with family and friends.

Pray For Peace

For peace in places of war and violence, and for the safety and safe return of the men and women who serve in the United States military.

Pinellas Hope

LOC will be providing a third meal for the residents of this local shelter this evening Sunday July 5th, thanks to the generosity of parishioners who gave during the Lenten drive and to Welcomehomerelocation. YOU CAN HELP continue this ministry by giving an hour or more towards doing whatever needs to be done for the monthly meal, which LOC wishes to commit. There is a small job for everyone, many hands makes a lighter load. All ages and families are invited and welcome to participate. We can build up community, a foundation of our Catholic faith. There will be a brief meeting on THURSDAY, JULY 9th at 7:15 in the MAH RM 7 for all who are interested in learning about and or becoming involved with LOC Pinellas Hope ministry. Please consider helping in some way and pray for us.

Are you a non- Catholic, a new Catholic or a cradle Catholic who would like to learn more about the “traditional” Catholic Church or the “new” Catholic Church- defined as the post 1963 conference? Where is God with respect to Mary, Mass in the vernacular, (English language), the Pope, education, etc. These questions and any others you might have can be addressed in our Summer Inquiry Program every Thursday night in Msgr. Allman Hall at 7:30pm. Bring your questions, your observations and your theories for open discussion by, for and with people like you. For further information call Steve Allen at 733-3313 or Deacon Jim at 447-6373.

Prayer for Vocations to the Priesthood

Jesus, Divine Master, who said: "The harvest indeed is great, but the laborers are few," we lovingly accept Your invitation: "Pray the heavenly Father to send forth laborers into his harvest." Inspire a crusade for vocations. More priests! May they be the salt of the earth, the light of the world, the city placed on the mountaintop for the salvation of mankind redeemed by Your blood. More religious!-both men and women-to promote the glory of God and the peace of men of good will. May the earth be filled with seminaries and religious houses. 0 Mary, God's chosen one, Mother and guardian of holy vocations, pray with us, pray for us, and for all those called by God. Amen.
